Tray has a tremendous passion for economic empowerment, entrepreneurial development and innovating the minds of people of all ages through God’s love and financial literacy. Economic equality is the mission and Tray firmly believes that the tools and concepts of financial literacy have the ability to build confidence, tenacity and social consciousness which are pivotal to developing a thriving society.
At the age of 14 Pastor Tray began ministering the gospel as an evangelist and a gospel event organizer and in the same year under Pastor Alton Louis Merrill Sr. leadership was called to ministry. In 2003 during his Senior year at Warren G. Harding H.S. in Warren, OH, Tray commissioned and birthed a unique ministry focused on youth and young adults entitled “The Chainbreaker Experience.” Through this movement he was able to create a county wide bible club in Trumbull County that focused on touching and connecting many high schools in the state of Ohio.
Upon graduating high school he started his freshmen year at The Ohio State University as a history major and in 2005 submit to his calling once more and left to attend Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, GA as a Community International Economic Development major and Biblical Education minor. While attending Beulah Heights University Pastor Tray worked as the Chief Executive Officer of The Reformation Project, and Chief Program Manager at The Life Changing Movement inc. in Atlanta, GA where he was able to increase target-market program growth by 27% through designing and launching a new strategy, increased investment ca from capital300% within one month by spearheading and implementing a highly effective marketing campaign, and exceeded a business goal of 25% market share for one program, propelling overall market share beyond 35%; served as the Youth Pastor at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Miami, FL, was and was named the Community Organizer & Senior Pastor at The Experience for six years.
Currently he is the Senior Pastor at Faith Christian Community Church in Port Huron Michigan and is the Executive Director of Experience The Mission a non profit who has just recently launched their 2 Million/348: Mission Possible Campaign to raise money for The Media Arts Program, The Earl D. Shoulders Jr. Transitional Home for youth who have aged out of foster care, build an organic mini-market, The Narcotics Anonymous Program (NA), and provide Non-Profit Management Services to citizens living in the cities of Port Huron, MI, Atlanta, GA, Memphis, TN and Nashville, TN.
Pastor Tray Smith truly cares less for titles, but values the opportunity to serve wherever the Lord sees fit! His vision is uncompromisingly clear, with one central principle; to build and develop a kingdom of empowered people for God. Holding firmly to the commissioned mandate in Matthew 28:18-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations”
Pastor Shantell Smith
Executive Pastor/Program Director
Shantell Smith is currently Executive Pastor at Experience the Mission Marketplace Ministry. Before her pastoral work, she worked as the lead supervisor at the Department of Family and Children Services in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to her social work experience, she worked in law enforcement in Atlanta, Georgia. Shantell graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work in May 2008, is 4 classes away from completing her Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership and is a Certified Life Coach since September 2013. She is currently registered to begin classes for her Master’s in Social Work in January 2017.
Mrs. Smith is currently aiding entrepreneurs in their business development by writing business plans, creating non-profit and for profit organizations plus restructuring businesses while mentoring on Biblical business principles. She is also the minister over the women’s ministry at Faith Christian Community Church (the S.I.N.C.E.R.E. Women of Faith). Shantell continues to mentor teens within her church and community, while developing programs that promote them to have their personal relationship with CHRIST.
Shantell is happily married with six children, three grandsons, one granddaughter and currently lives in Michigan. Pastor Smith is very active in training and imparting into the intercessory prayer team, the choir, the church praise & worship team, and has 2 other businesses that she owns/operate on a daily basis. She enjoys having family night, watching movies, reading and fellowshipping with believers.
Project Manager/Executive Administrator
Cathy Jobe is currently Project Manager/Executive Administrator of Experience the Mission. She is also the owner of A & E Coaching Group. Cathy is from Nashville, Tennessee but has lived in Orlando, Florida (2 different span of times) and Stone Mountain, Georgia. Cathy has has spent years working as a Licensed Practical Nurse while always operating a business or nonprofit organization. Cathy’s spiritual awareness and connection with people has been witnessed by many in healthcare, business, general community and especially within the faith-based community. Cathy is a visionary and can often see the potential in others after spending a short time with a person. In the business world, some may say that she is the master of Administration. Most tasks in the area of administration, Cathy is able to handle. She understands that all her abilities can only be given by God and is then shared with others through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Cathy’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Management, a Master’s of Business Administration Degree in Project Management. She also holds a life insurance license.
